I started out on Javascript some time ago and bought O'Reilly's offering
of "Javascript, the Definitive Guide" by David Flanagan.
Can't compare against any other books because I only otherwise had HTML
& XHTML by Musciano and Kennedy.
I understand you asking : I have a copy of BSD hacks which I feel wasn't
exactly a great purchase. Don't think I learnt anything from that book
that I hadn't already learnt from the man pages + brain engagement.
From this amazon.co.uk search it looks like I'm at least two editions
out on Javascript and there's a new version in the wings ...
