Fair dos. Can I do that from another PC (e.g. my Laptop which is also
running Ubuntu)? or do I need some specialist software?

.. and RISC OS :-)
running on a 10-year old 200MHz machine - still outperforming WinXP,
Gnome and MacOS in terms of desktop useability (i.e.
point-and-clickyness)!! Sadly, not outperforming very much in terms of
processing 'grunt' :-( If only we could marry the RISC OS desktop to
the Linux OS :-)
