That reminds me - is there a handy utility to decode the times recorded in 
emerge logs?

Oh, and the last time I looked, to use genlop you had to enable PORTLOG_DIR, 
and I couldn't see a way to have it omit uninteresting entries so they used 
to consume large amounts of output and time.
