On the subject of silent PSUs, I took my (~£30 'AMD approved') PSU apart at
popped a super quiet fan into it. Much nicer.

The quest for silence continues, however, and I'm about to try a passive heat
sink for my CPU :\

Anyone else tried the hdparm sound management parameter? For disks which support
it: '#> hdparm -M 192' is a good start.
