[Sheflug] E-Petition for Unusual ADSL Business Practices

Hi

Some of you might not know about this but a lot of ISPs out there
including Plusnet have the practice of throttling back your bandwidth
of you do something like download a DVD.

http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/Unlimited-ADSL/

" We the undersigned petition the Prime Minister to Insist that OFCOM
and the ASA stop Broadband Providers advertising 'unlimited' services
that are in fact limited in the small print or by un-defined fair use
policies." and "Many ISP's (Internet Service providers) are
advertising Broadband with 'Unlimited' downloads. The majority of
these services are not unlimited as in the providers fair usage
policies they either cap the use at a defined amount, or use an
undefined criteria that only they know. "

I realise that putting your own paw print on this petition is unlikely
to have any effect anywhere but I that I would mention it anyway.
