I use smart via
smart --shell
and occasionally do a 'fix' command from that interactive shell. Have
you checked everything is hunky dory using the 'fix' command/option?
Smart can be awfully quiet.

Are you actually running two versions of ruby-libs and samba-common - or
items that depend on different versions?
Or is this a bug somewhere in the chain of updating /upgrading that has
left something on the machine?
If a bug it could be an incomplete removal/upgrade of a previous package
which is creating these errors.
I often google for errors, I use the error text or part of it. You may
find, that if this is a bug, then others have reported it and either
have a fix or are working on it.
