Fairly normal looking directory:

drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 2007-11-11 14:03 partial

which appears to be empty and updated every 'apt-get update'. I suspect
it's where the downloads go while they are being downloaded - apt-get
will resume rather than restart a download.

Talking of nVidia - GIMP 2.2.13 is abysmal on my system (Quadro4 900 XGL
with LG LCD monitor) to the extent it is unusable for anything other
than basic photo editing.

Any suggestions on how to improve things?

And is there a stable Gimp 2.4 out there yet?

Regards
