I agree with Robin. Take a look at UltraVNC (uvnc.com - the web site is
very slow at the moment). UltraVNC has some capability for Windows
authentication although we have only ever used classic here. There's
also an optional encryption plugin which should defeat all but the most
dedicated sniffers and uvnc also has the extras like chat windows and
file transfer that vanilla VNC doesn't.
The uvnc viewer is also nice because you can have several windows open
in different tabs.
