You might be surprised just how many people there are out there who 
can only just manage to click on a mouse (people who own some very 
large companies or have a degree in something) or who learned how to 
use LookOut Express or Pegasus Mail or Lotus Notes and nothing else.

You get a larger or smaller part of the user base with each desktop 
application that can only work with that application.  Command line 
syntax ?  Don't try to ask them.  They think that system 
administration is something that Microsoft can do for us ;)

About two or three years ago a local programmer from Sheffield (Totley 
I think) came to one of our meetings and asked me about Lotus Notes 
and MySQL integration and who might be interested.  I pointed him at  
the MySQL team and IBM.  Looks like my own suggestion has been 
listened to.  You CAN change the world if you try hard enough ?  
Well, hopefully anyway.
