Same here - although I'm hard pushed to imagine what ground there
might be between a "less libertarian administration" and full-on
totalitarianism.
Unfortunately, I'm currently a bit stuck. I'd love to leave the
country altogether, and I'm sure the government would be quite happy
to see the back of me too; but I don't want to give them the
information they're demanding before they'll issue a passport, without
which I'm stuck here.
I don't suppose New Zealand would offer political asylum...? ;)
Otherwise, the only option I can see is moving to a marginal Labour
constituency in Scotland, voting SNP, and hoping they get on with the
whole referendum thingy soon. :)
