[Sheflug] usb internet dongles

Hi
Can anyone recommend a good usb internet dongle that works with linux
without too much messing around?

I like the look of the package that 3 is currently doing where you get
12G of downloads spread over 12 months and a dongle for £100. But I
don't want to get it without knowing that I can use the dongle.

So, I'm not looking for a recommendation of a package just whose dongles
work and whose don't. If anyone does know of any good deals though I'm
open to suggestions.
