Re: [Sheflug] Barcamp Sheffield update

I hope there will be a good sprinkling of Sheflug folk at the Barcamp
next weekend, the organisers are keen for as much and varied
attendance as possible and not only is it Open Source, it's free as in
beer (literally, there are some sponsored beer rounds).
Strictly speaking, I'm not a 'sheflug folk' as I'm on the other side of
the Pennines, however I am intending to be at Barcamp nonetheless.
Richard, you mentioned the possibility of a speaker at the event if a
projector was going to be available. There should be one, or more,
projectors at the event. I suggest that any discussion about
attendance or proposed events is best done on the Barcamp Sheffield
Forum.
I had thought about doing a talk on digital freedom in education and the
free software movement in young people... however I'm yet to write that
talk, but there is no time like the present!
Failing that, I could probably scratch together a talk about the
Openmoko Neo Freerunner - I have *some* slides about this...
Just out of interest, bearing in mind they aren't necessarily mutually
exclusive, which do people think sounds the most interesting?
I think it's shaping up to be a great event, hope to see some of you there.
I hope I manage to lose this throat bug before barcamp, or I definitely
won't be doing any public speaking!
