No suggestions about what may be causing your problems, but as data
relevant to your question I see the following:

Platform: 32-bit Debian Etch (2007, with regular updates)
Browser:  Iceweasel 2.0.0.19 (2006, with regular updates)

On the web page:
Background: mottled blueish-gray on whitish base
Along the top from left to right:
* Logo "National Association of Choirs // Una Voce" with treble clef
       black on white
* Golden script "T" with golden "MVC"
* "Tideswell Male Voice Choir"
* Overlaid on Union Jack:
    "BRITISH CHOIRS" White on Blue
    "ON THE NET" Blue on Gold

It all looks perfect (but then I don't know what it was intended
to look like).

Browser:  Firefox 1.0.4 (2005)
Image:    Identical to what I see in [A]
