Absolutely! My son did GCSE ICT last year and I was horrified at how
M$ dominated it is. I have no objection to their being taught using M$
products, at home we have computers running XP, Vista, Ubuntu Linux
and OSX. Kids need to learn the principals, and that means using a
wide range of software and OS so that they can see the breadth of the
way systems operate.

Sadly the problem is then propagated. In the NHS where I work there is
a lot of talk of "training". This means showing people which key to
press, like a pigeon trained to get seed from a dispenser. It then
leves you either tied to your existing system, or facing a massive
re-training commitment.
