Please don't take it personally, but I want to make sure other users on the
list don't just go ahead and "run apt-get dist-upgrade" (quoting your
previous mail) on their Debian machines without reading the release notes. 

It was more of a public service to the list, than a personal attack. I just
felt it my duty as a member of the Debian project to make sure other users
were aware of the procedure. If my contributions are not welcome, I'll go
away and never bother you again!
