I'll probably give Arch 64 a go then and see how it does. The only worry 
I have isn't 64 bit related, it is  getting my 3 monitors working well 
with xorg and evdev. Last two times I tried it the machine locked up 
anywhere within 10 mins and a couple of hours off use. If that works I'm 
sure I'll be fine in a 64 bit world.
