[Sheflug] ubuntu 10.04

I.ve upgraded to the new distro... and installed xsane and all the
other scanning program, but none of them will work with my scanner
(epson 3170 photo..) it worked very well with  9.10. when I plug my
older scanner in Epson 7000 it sees that ok, but only as a flat
bed...has anybody got some idea as what to do? can I go back to 9.10?
if so how????
