I think at some point someone will port over Windows 8 to the device. I would think it could come under XDA-developers who could potentially port android as well as other Windows Mobile distributions to it.
Take for example the HTC HD2, it is a primarily a windows phone, but it can run WM6.5, WP7, Android (Froyo, Gingerbread, ICS), Meego, Ubuntu. So if it can be done on an ancient device such as the HD2, I don't see why it isn't possible on the Raspberry Pi.
