Thanks for the pointers.  The backup apps I came across were cloud-
rather than card-based & seemed to require rooting.  (I'd rather do one
installation operation rather than a rooting and then an installation.)

The contact list as well as apps' data.  Anyway, I can't use the
official cyanogenmod installer because there isn't an official build of
the new version for my GT-I8160.  I'm planning to use this one:

Good point (but I have an SD card).
