Hello

Stuart McMuldroch came to see us on Saturday at our first Sheflug
meeting. He's interested in using Linux in a project that he's
working on. Thinks I can probably build some hardware for him.

His other interest is in finding a student or graduate to work for
him up till October or later. This is a copy of the job description
that he gave me.......

COMPUTER PROGRAMMER: C or C++ with UNIX or LINUX EXPERIENCE

Blue Sky Imaging is a small company based in Sheffield that recently
won a DTI SMART award to develop an innovative new product. The
ASTIC320 will image clouds over the entire sky during both the day
and night. We are seeking an innovative hard-working computer
programmer to help us take cutting-edge machine vision algorithms and
implement them into code. The project is expected to end in October,
making this position ideal for a summer student or a new graduate
looking for a diverse and exciting experience. Longer-term
employment is possible past October within the company on related
projects. The position is available immediately.

Required experience: C or C++, Unix or Linux operating systems,
knowledge of how to control mechanisms. Desired experience:
Familiarity with image processing or machine vision algorithms.
