Loading modprobe pcitst at startup
Hi
I had a problem where Hi-sax loaded on start up and then the system
hung. That's SuSE 6.1.
After some e-mail discussion with SuSE we realised that my BIOS
needed to be updated. However, first thing was to get the ISDN
terminal adapter to work so that I could download an update. SuSE
very kindly produced a file for me called pcitst which I have placed
in /lib/modules/2.2.7/misc (under direction from SuSE). They say
that I need to run modprobe pcitst to start the module/driver.
After switching the machine off yesterday and returning today I find
that the system hangs on startup when Hi-sax loads. I'm aware that I
might be able to load pcitst on startup with crontab or something
similar. Trouble is the system needs to reach level 2 before crontab
operates.
Is there any way that I can load pcitst through a system file so
that the system doesn't hang on startup ?
Thank you
