Tripwire Help

Hello

Don't know if anyone can help but I thought I'd try anyway :-)

I haven't used tripwire and I'd like to learn how to use it and why
to use it. So far I've typed in (SuSE 6.1) .......

/var/adm/tripwire/bin/tripwire -init from root and what came back
was...

### Phase 1: Reading configuration file
tripwire: Couldn't open config file ' /var/adm/tripwire/tw.config' :
No such file or directory.

I've had a look with the KDE file manager and it's definitely there.
So... what do I do now ? Howtos and FAQs don't look good :-(

Last year when I was using SuSE 5.3 I found loads of info on the
internet about Tripwire. This year there's not much going around at
all (or nothing). Any URLs or solid advice would help. I do
actually have a 378k Adobe Acrobat PDF file which is a bit like the
PGP manual that comes with PGP 6.02i. Perhaps I could mail this to
you in exchange for some Tripwire info ? The file is all about Unix
security for dummies like me.

My little Linux PC has been under attack from the internet before
now. I'd like to improve the security of my system, possibly with a
bit of help from someone else ?

Think I'll open an ice cool tin of beer :-) (it's a bit warm
outside)

Thanks

Richard
