C++
Hi all,
I recently came upon some disks containing loads of programs all wrapped
up in little tarballs. However, when I come to compile them, many of
them are C++, and don't seem to work!
Some have ./configure programs to run, some of which complain that 'the
C++ compiler is uncapable of producing executable files', some can't
find the QT-1.3 libraries (different problem), and some just list errors
when attempting to compile with G++ -c sourcename.cpp
I have SuSE 6.2, with whatever version GCC comes with it (I haven't had
chance or reason to check up to now), so it will be fairly recent. I
also have a GLibC 2.0 compiler, and EGCS. I am using GCC with GCCFront
at the mo. Is this OK? I haven't had much C++ experience, especially on
a Linux system, so I am stuck.
Any help would be GREATLY aprpeciated,
Craig
