I too have Suse 6.2 and I'm not suffering too many problems
check you have the gpp and g20gpp package installed it is the GNU C++
compiler
as for QT I don't know but check you have the qt development libs
installed as well as the vanilla ones qtdevel in the Xdevel series
I had a bit of trouble because the standard install doesn't install
useful things like autoconf and automake. It seems to install enough
stuff to compile a kernel but not much else also check xdevel from the
base x series is installed you won't be able to compile anything for X
without it. installing this little lot seemed to solve most of my
worries hope it does yours.
