With Red Hat Linux, both 6.0 and 6.1 _all_ free sound modules are in
the stock kernel.

Simple to install are all distros nowadays.
With linuxconf, all you have to fill in is your ISP's phone-number
and your username/password. The distribution can't do that for you.
