ManLUG Last Meeting
Hi Folks,
Following the 'groff' talk I gave to ManLUG on 20 November,
I have wrapped up various files on which the talk was based
as a gzipped tarball. This can be found on the ManLUG website
http://www.manlug.mcc.ac.uk/
as
http://www.manlug.mcc.ac.uk/19991120/talk.tar.gz
Read the file talk.txt therein to find out what the various files
are about.
If you want to play with the troff source, you should find that
it works _except_ for the Cyrillic bit (unless you have your
own Cyrillic PostScript fonts).
I referred to the desirability of developing right-to-left
capability for languages like Hebrew, Arabic, etc. If you are
interested in this, have a look at
http://www.cs.technion.ac.il/~dberry/arabic.html
and ftp to
ftp.cs.technion.ac.il pub/misc/dberry
where you will find impressive (and in part virtuoso) work along
these lines by Dan Berry and collaborators.
Cheers,
Ted.
