KDEStudio
Played about with this last night. Firstly, it is only version 0.0.3 or
something, so yes, there is stuff wrong with it, and sometimes the way it
behaves is what can only be described as well strange. You know when you
might be in for a bad time when it compiles with warnings, as well as
feeding g++ over THIRTY -I options. Also, the developer specified -g -O2 -
noooooooooo!!!! Took a little bit of tweaking to get it 'just so' ;)
BUT....
If you've seen C++ Builder, you've seen KDEStudio. Gosh, I thought
KDevelop was good, but I think KDEStudio is going to give it a real run
for it's money, when finished of course ;) I can't believe it's only
version 0.0.3, or whatever. It LOOKS fabulous, and I was able to get a
project made compiled in no time, with buttons on the form everything.
I've not tried adding actions to the buttons or owt like that, but I
presume it can be done ;)
To say the developer is Russian (well, his address stuff are .ru), the
program is in extremely good English, even error messages. The program
seems to be very polished, and although there is some odd behaviour, and
little documentation, it seems pretty good...
If you develop KDE stuff (I don't recommend using KDEStudio for anything
other than KDE apps at the mo'), take a look. Esp. if you've used C++
Builder. Best of all, it's only a ~550k download. Cripes...
