Have a look under /tmp ? You should see another directory which
says /oss ? If not then you need to install the oss.rpm from the
pay series. Should be on CD number 4 ?

Unfortunately you have complicated installation of OSS sound by
installing a new kernel. I think that SuSE 6.2 kernel was 2.2.10 ?
Anyway, never mind :-) When you get as far as oss-installation come
back again and we'll have a go at that together ?
