Are you trying to suggest K is too fat & bloated to run on 486's?? :-)
Really, it's not quite that bad.. not far off, though ;))

Gosh, sounds really interesting. I presume you'd be able to link these to a
permanent net connection, or something? What was the £20-odd per month for?
I could certainly dream up uses for machines like that - god knows, I have
enough 386/486 boards in my workshop.... they make excellent routers &
firewalls, as well as being useful for numerous other more fun tasks..
