Re: Spam Filters in SuSE 6.4

Hello

I set up fetchmail the other day and now I've found that somtimes it
works and other times it doesn't. I find that it can suddenly produce a
lock file. Only time I know about this is when I go online again and
type in "fetchmail" in a terminal window. Then fetchmail starts up
again.

Other thing is, I can see that fetchmail is downloading mail when the
red lights go on and off on Kisdn but I don't see any mail in the Pine
inbox. It just goes somewhere and I know not where. So far 400 e-mails
have gone somewhere ? As far as I know /var/spool/mail/richard is the
Pine inbox and that's the way that I've configured Pine.

When I did set up fetchmail I did it manually and then later on I tried
fetchmailconf. Couldn't get it to work first time out. After using
that I found that a spam filter had been set up by the conf program.
Not something that I wanted. Perhaps fetchmail has seen all of my mail
as spam and just dumped it somewhere ?

Can anyone suggest where to look ?

Thanks
