[Sheflug] strange happenings

Eve'nin all

So as you all know from my frequent cries for help, I am in the prosess of
setting up suse 6.4.
Only real problem I have is setting up printer but that'll do some other time,
Thing is one of the things I have done is install star office 5.1. The
installation seems to have worked ok as it now resides in opt/office5.1, So far
so good. But I could not get it to run I assumed like the PC or Atari it was
just a matter of clicking an executable. Some one put me right on that and I
now know I have run a script,not found how yet but........
So at the open day on thursday one of the many tips I was given was not to run
as "root" which I have been doing, So tonight I added new user me :) the
strange thing is that when I booted up as user There big as you like was an
icon with staroffice and a paper with a question mark on it. Never being able
to resist an icon I cliked and was offered the chance to setup staroffice, I
did so and now have a nice staroffice icon and the prog works fine (luv it) yet
as root nowt. Now for the advice bit, I now have a folder opt/ofice 5.1 and a
folder home/pete/office5.1, can I delete the one in opt by simply chucking it
in the trashcan or do I have to deinstall it,if so how.
