No, delete neither.  The StarOffice in /opt is the 'real' installation, and the
one in /home/pete contains your local "workstation" files (about 1.5MB off the
top of my head).  This is for if you were to create another account, say for
your wife - /home/wife, then she could have her copy of StarOffice set up
differently to yours, (/home/wife/Office51) and with both "running" from
/opt/Office51.

When you installed StarOffice to /home/pete you did click on the small 1.5MB
button instead of the large one, didn't you?
