Thanks to Richard, Stephen and Craig for the prompt and informative replies
to my printer query.

I have an old dot-matrix printer, which works well using the "Generic"
printer in Star Office and a printer which it emulates, selected in SuSE. I
thought, though, that this set-up was a bit of a "fudge".

I am about to get an inkjet printer and my reasoning was, that to get the
best results, I should be able to select the actual printer from the lists
both in Star Office and SuSE. I thought that it needed the correct S.O.
printer to drive the correct SuSE printer. That is the reason for my query
about getting other printer drivers for Star Office.
