I've never used callnet but by now I;d have either ditched them or have sent 
of a not very friednly email :) Check terms and conditions of the connection 
- see if there is anywhere they mention restricting services, or, 
alternatively, offer a full internet connection. Try and use them as an 
argument :) I use news.cis.dfn.de to complement my news feed from force9's 
servers (which have actually improved a lot recently).

As for public redirectors, you'd have a job :) Too large a security hole for 
any to be out there. Best bet is to find a friendly sys admin who'll set 
summat up for you :)
