I dunno, I don`t feel right without the murmoring of my Linux boxen! :-)

 Doesn`t make too much of a difference to my electricity bill leaving 2
machines running 24/7.


 And, yes you need apmd to be running - I can`t use auto powerdown of my
system because apmd isn`t SMP safe.
