Thanks for that but problem solved. For today anyway.
I booted up today and keyboard entry perfect :/
Funny this Linux !!
Today's problem is the cd player in kde gives no soud although my soundcard is
configured though alsaconf & works fine for system sounds, & yes the wire is
connected as it works in windoze.
Ohh other problem boot floppy no longer works had to boot using suse
instalation disk " boot existing system" I hope I'm going to find a make boot
floppy somewhere in Yast.
