 MMmm. My dual PII 400`s never run at less than 35 C!

 My system will throttle the processors when they hit 65 C. I`m sure Intel have
specs on their site suggesting max running temps. 

 Admittedly, they are always flat out (thanks to distributed.net) - right now
they are at 37 and 41 C.

 I stumbled across a page at MIT - their "campus weather report" giving machine
room temperatures (high, low, current) across the campus - and many were quite a
bit hotter than 20 C.

 Unfortunately, I can`t find the page again.
