[Sheflug] Can't figure xhosts, xauth and Xsecurity.
OK,
I've attempted to read the man pages this time :-)
I'm still getting this error for my nsadmin user:
[nsadmin@flux www]$ Xlib: connection to ":0.0" refused by server
Xlib: Client is not authorized to connect to Server
emacs: Cannot connect to X server :0.
Check the DISPLAY environment variable or use `-d'.
Also use the `xhost' program to verify that it is set to permit
connections from your machine.
Yet it wasn't all that long ago that I did (as root)
xhosts +localhost
which allowed the nsadmin user to connect to the X server.
What I'm trying to do is su from my normal user, to the nsadmin user,
use emacs to do some work, and exit.
How do I ensure that the nsadmin and oracle users can connect to the
Xserver (even after reboot).
Both are fine if I log in via the normal X login screen (xdm?) - but I
want to su, not log in and out all the time.
Baz.
