[Sheflug] logging in to local host........

hi,

i'm having trouble logging in to localhost !!!  (http://localhost:port no. or
http://127.0.0.1:port no )

i've obviously screwed a config file up some where but i've no idea where:-(

any application that runs on a server is inaccessable (ie webmin, khylafax)

the applications just report that they are unable to login, or in the case of
webmin, netscape cases a dial-up a network connection via Diald and takes me to
the netscape search page! (most helpful i thought ;-)

i don't have a fancy setup..... i've run these apps before with no probs......
i have recently reinstalled mandrake7 after trying some other distro but i did
format all partitions (except /home) when i installed. i kept a copy of all my
config files so i thought i had it covered. i must have missed one.....

any idea's?
