 Definitely slow! These are my 5.4k and 7.2k EIDE drives, although I
have tweaked them a little with hdparm:

/dev/hda:
 Timing buffered disk reads:  64 MB in  6.07 seconds = 10.54 MB/sec

/dev/hdc:
 Timing buffered disk reads:  64 MB in  5.39 seconds = 11.87 MB/sec
