i've just started teaching myself C........ i use a program called 'latte' it
does auto highlighting and has clickable buttons for the compiler and
debugger on the menu bar as well as line search etc etc........
it is suitable for c c++ python perl.............
doesn't really answer your question but i hope it helps :-)
