RE: [Sheflug] hi
Don't have to disconnect the serialports, just run 'minicom -s' as root, and
it goes straight to the setup menu.

The program you want to take a gander at is minicom...by default, it tries
to send a bunch of AT commands to the config'd serial device (its default
config assumes its talking to a modem), so what you may want to do is start
minicom whilst nothing is connected to the serial ports, modify the config
(ie, remove all the AT strings), save the config, and restart minicom.
As far as whether a modem is connected or not ... unless you're actually
using a modem, there should be no problem. What tells you you have a modem?
You don't need to kill the modem ... if you have one connected, just unplug
it and plug the router in. If not, then nothing to worry about - just ignore
the modem config :)
