I have used lyx in the past very succesfully. If you must have
these stupid presentations with animations to distract the audience of
your lack of knowledge in the presented topic and superior knowlege of
bullet shapes, that won't work. But for slides, FoilTeX is really good.
And you can always export it as a PDF of PS and use a computer to show
your eager audiences :-)
