MMm. I was using Enlightenment with RedHat 6.0, but I started using
Helix-Gnome about halfway through my stint with RH6.2, with Sawmill as
the WM, and it was a pain in the behind.
I now prefer Sawfish - it *is* as pretty an Enlightenment, it does do
everything I expect, it doesn't crash on me (in fact the only programs I
use that crash on me are GMasqDialer and Netscape).
I've got no hassles with sizing, positioning and stacking windows, and
getting the system to remember how I had it set - which was one of the
most glaring omissions from early Sawmill versions.
Isn't all a window manager is there for?
I haven't tried KDE for a long time, but Helix Gnome (even standard
Gnome these days) is very nice, and I've got other things to play with..
Apparently KDE2 from what little feedback I've heard from other people
is a little flakey in places. Dunno.
