Yup.  Embrace and extend, just like the Master in Redmond.  Hope
you've got a service contract with the vendor, because all of the open
source developers I know are refusing to support Mandrake ;-)

Much worse than Red Hat.  It's pretty, but expect many of your queries
to the net to bomb out on "known bug in Mandrake due to a Mandrake
patch; not our problem."

Not to mention more arrogant than Debian.  "We must hack your code to
support out user interface guidelines."

(Can you tell I just spent three hours answering Mandrake FAQs on
comp.emacs.xemacs?  But do I get stock options from them?  I do not.)
