Getting My Domain, by Will Newton (aged 20 3/4)

Used ukhosts.com I think (I registered a few) or domainbuster. The
registrars usually offer free "parking" on their name servers. I suggest
you buy hosting first, find what the name servers are (secondary and
primary) for the hosting people (in my case I used csoft.net) and write it
down somewhere. When you register a domain you will be asked for addresses
for name servers (or they'll point it at one of those heinous "Under
construction" pages). If you get hosting second you'll have to update the
information (most registrars have an online form for this) - extra hassle.
csoft.net are decent hosts, but they do drop ICMP on border routers "to
save them from script kiddy torment" although that sounds a bit lame to
me it won't affect most people.
