[Sheflug] Network authentication

Hi All

Although I've already sent this to James offlist, I figured I'd post a
link to an article on network authentication, just in case anyone else
is interested.

It doesn't really cover the pros and cons of the various systems in
great detail, and barely mentions security, but it's probably still
worth a read.
