[Sheflug] Linux Developers' Conference at end of June

Dear All

The Developer's Conference that is in Manchester in June is well
worth going to. Also, the cost of attending has been substantially
reduced due to sponsorship from IBM. Cost is about £30 for three
days. This is for the kind of international info that you just can't
get hold of from anywhere at any price.

More info............

Announcements have gone out for the UK Unix User Group's
Linux Developers' Conference, Linux 2001. This will be June 29
through July 1 at the Manchester Conference Centre at UMIST.
The cost of this 3-day conference is UKP 30.00 if you book
before June, UKP 50.00 afterwards (that is, for UKUUG members).
Accommodation is available for UKP 22.90 per night. The
conference fee is low mainly because of a generous grant from
IBM and some smaller grants from Sistina and other companies.

The program includes papers about clustering, heartbeat,
Linux Virtual Server, laptops, performance tuning, kernel
internals, DCE, KDE, GNOME, Zope, and other topics.
Speakers include people from Red Hat, SuSE, Debian, and
Mandrake. For more information, see the website:

     http://www.ukuug.org/events/linux2001/

which is unfortunately still under construction.
