I believe you only have to do that if running a DHCP server - though
could be wrong :) I do /not/ have that in my route config for client-side
DHCP and it works fine. And I seem to remember only reading it the docs
for dhcpd...
It may be that older kernels you had to set the route up, though how old
I dunno ... 2.2.14, 2.2.19 and 2.4.3 have all been playing nicely,
however.
