[Sheflug] KDE 2.1.1

Oh boy.  I am not too impressed.  I installed 2.1.1 again to see what
error messages came up when I try to start KDE.  I boot my machine, it
tries to start KDM but then goes staight back to the console login - no
messages.  I < startx > and looks as if KDE is going to start - I  get
that lovely lilac background, the progreess bar et al.  About halfway
through the load up, roughly 50% according to the loadup bar it stops and
the screen is empty except for the mouse pointer (which doesn't do a thing
- although I can move it).  The intro music plays as well.  I killed X and
this is what is present on the screen:

Could not load Library!  Trying exec...
Kdesktop: error while loading shared libraries: libkdefake.so.3: cannot
open shared libraries: No such file or directory.
Kio(KService*): WARNING: The desktop entry file
Settings/LookNFeel/windows/actions.desktop has no name

And that Kio line is repeated down the screen until it tells me that I
killed X.
